Environmental Management Systems
The implementation of environmental management systems can appear daunting, not least because Environmental legislation can be confusing and seem overwhelming in its coverage. Gibbons Roscoe will help you design your Environmental Management System (to standard ISO14001:2004) by a process of breaking it down into manageable sections, thus implementation becomes much easier. Each stage becomes integrated into your Business Management System in as seamless and unobtrusive way as possible.
Other Gibbons Roscoe environmental services include training and internal auditing.
Third Party/Internal Auditing from Gibbons Roscoe Limited
Gibbons Roscoe offer third party/internal auditing services for ISO 14001:2004. (We also offer third party/internal auditing against other ISO, non-ISO and other quality systems.)
The objective of an ISO 14001 audit is to ensure that the company environmental management systems meet the needs of the organisation’s processes, procedures and the needs of the Standard.
Audits form an important part of your company’s feedback system!
They are performed to determine the effectiveness, efficiency, validity and reliability of your processes, and also provide an assessment of your system’s internal control.
They form an essential part of your environmental continuous improvement programme!
- Your company’s aspects, resultant impacts, programmes, objectives, targets and procedures are all reviewed.
- Document reviews aim to establish that your documentation meets the requirements of ISO 14001:2004.
- The findings of the audit are provided in a written report. If there are any areas of concern to the auditor, the following may be raised:
- Major non-compliances
- Minor non-compliances
Observations
- Environmental audits are intended to quantify environmental performance and environmental position. An environmental audit report will also define what needs to be done to sustain or improve on indicators of such performance and position.
